02-Jun-2014

On Wednesday May 28.2014, Jordan Securities Commission JSC held a workshop for Financial Services Companies FSC to identify the Electronic Licensing System. The workshop was held at the Commission’s headquarter at His Majesty King Abdullah II hall.

The Commission sent invitations to all FSC to attend this workshop that aims to identify concerned and involved parties with the System, its importance, mechanism for applying it and its gradual stages; actual training, final approval and operation.

The Licensing System shall be a means of communication to exchange and to update information electronically between the Commission and FSC. It starts from licensing the companies and their Registered Persons, to identifying their main data and finally renewing their licenses and registrations. The System automated the office work of the Licensing and Inspection Department by inserting all FSC data on the System, renewing their licenses and their Registered Persons as well as preparing a data base including their historical information: complaints, violations, guarantees as well as their inspection reports.

At the workshop, participants made many remarks and suggestions on the System and mechanisms for applying it. Involved people at the Commission promised to study them and to take into consideration the most appropriate ones.
