The Jordan Securities Commission Participates in the Second Annual Forum for Member Brokerage Firms 2026

The Jordan Securities Commission participated in the Second Annual Forum for Member Brokerage Firms 2026, organized by the Amman Stock Exchange, in the presence of the Chairman of the Jordan Securities Commission, H.E. Mr. Emad Abu Haltam, members of the Board of Commissioners, and several representatives of the Commission.
H.E. Abu Haltam emphasized that the forum represents an important platform for enhancing transparency and promoting a culture of sustainability within the national capital market. He noted that the forum also contributes to strengthening direct communication and effective partnership among all stakeholders within Jordan’s capital market ecosystem. He added that the forum comes at a time when financial markets are witnessing rapid transformations, requiring collective efforts to enhance market competitiveness and strengthen the investment environment.
He explained that the forum’s agenda was built around three main pillars designed to keep pace with global developments. The first pillar addressed the latest regulatory, legislative, and technological developments aimed at promoting a safe, fair, and transparent trading environment that protects investors and enhances market efficiency, while also highlighting the importance of safeguarding customer data amid growing cybersecurity threats.
The forum also addressed sustainability (ESG), with discussions focusing on integrating environmental, social, and governance standards into the operations of listed companies and financial services firms, promoting sustainable finance practices, and encouraging innovation and value creation in sustainability.
The third pillar provided an analytical overview of market performance indicators, highlighting growth trends and opportunities for further development in light of various economic challenges.
H.E. Abu Haltam concluded by affirming that the discussions and presentations featured during the forum would contribute to shaping a shared vision that supports the development of the Jordanian financial market and enhances its regional and international competitiveness. He also expressed his appreciation to all participants for their continued efforts in supporting development and innovation within Jordan’s capital market.
