Judicial Visit to the Securities Commission to Enhance Cooperation and Integration with Judicial Institutions

The Securities Commission hosted a judicial delegation today, comprising judges representing several different courts, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and integration between judicial institutions and the Commission.
The visit aimed to gain insight into the realities of the financial market, its applications, and related issues, thereby enhancing legal and regulatory understanding of the sector.
In this context, the Securities Commission emphasized its commitment to strengthening cooperation with various entities to contribute to developing the financial market environment, keeping pace with the latest developments, and enhancing its investment appeal.
The visit addressed the concept of the financial market and its role in directing financial resources, in addition to reviewing the components of the national capital market, which include the Securities Commission, the Securities Depository Center, and the Amman Stock Exchange.
The legal frameworks governing securities were also discussed, along with various investment instruments such as stocks, bonds, and sukuk, and the concept of investment funds. The visit concluded by oversight and inspection mechanisms, methods of settling transactions (including margin trading and cash transactions), and several practical applications in securities-related cases were examined.
