Jordan Securities Commission Receives the US Ambassador to Jordan

Chairman of the Jordan Securities Commission (JSC) HE Mr Mohammed Saleh Hourani and Members of the Board of Commissioners, received the US Ambassador to Jordan Mr Stuart Jones, a number of his Senior Economic Assistants and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Manager.
The aim of the American delegation visit is to enhance and to continue cooperation between both parties; the American and the (JSC) and capital market institutions as well as to observe developments and achievements of the market in various areas.
HE Mr Hourani briefed the American delegation on the role of the (JSC) and capital market institutions in regulating and monitoring the market as well as developing its various legislations and using techniques to perform its duties.
The meeting discussed the economic situation and its implication on the Jordan capital market as well as the main challenges and difficulties facing these institutions and how to deal with them to enable them to achieve their duties and goals.
