Jordan Securities Commission & Anti Money Laundering & Counter Terrorist Financing Unit Sign an MOU

On August 29.2013, Jordan Securities Commission (JSC) & the Anti Money Laundering & Counter Terrorist Financing Unit (AML/CTF Unit) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Commissions’ headquarter.
The signing of the (MOU) is in accordance with the recent amendments to the Anti Money Laundering & Counter Terrorist Financing Law No. (46) for the year 2007.
The (MOU) is signed by the Chairman of the Commission HE Mr Mohammed Saleh Hourani & the Chairwoman of the (AML/CTF Unit) Ms Dana Junblat.
The (MOU) is mainly concerned with the following issues:
Regulate & activate cooperation between both parties: the (JSC) & the (AML/CTF Unit).
Fulfill the requirements of the Anti Money Laundering & Counter Terrorist Financing Law & its legislations.
Exchange information among both parties in accordance with the enforced legislations: the (JSC) & the (AML/CTF Unit).
Activate & integrate precautionary measures to combat the crimes of money laundering & terrorist financing in securities activities.
