He assumed his duties as Commissioner at Jordan Securities Commission, effective December 14, 2023. Before that, he served as Senior Vice President at Dubai Financial Market during the period 2008-2021. He worked for the Central Bank of Jordan, mainly in the Research Department, for a long period from 1976 till 2008, during which he had occupied various functional and leadership positions and gained diverse experiences throughout a career in which he held many responsibilities. During his service at the Central Bank, Dr. Mousa was seconded to the United Arab Emirates` Central Bank as a senior researcher for a period of five years. He was also seconded to the Palestinian Authority for two years, as an expert to help in the establishment of the Palestine Monetary Authority. Dr. Mousa also had worked as a lecturer in the Central Bank’s inhouse training programs, and as a part-time lecturer at various Community Colleges. He holds a PhD degree in economics from the University of Birmingham in 2010, and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Jordan in 1976.
