Executive Chairman
Dr. Bassam Saket

The Chairman of the Commission is the Chief Executive Officer of the JSC. He carries out the executive and administrative functions of the commission with respect to: the appointment and supervision of personnel; the use and expenditure of funds; enforcing the decisions and regulations made by the Board of Commissioners; distribution business among departments and personnel. Thus, the chairman my delegate any of his powers to any commissioner or employee.


Executive Manager
Mr. Walid Khairallah

The executive Manager is linked to the chairman, who undertakes the responsibilities assigned to him by the chairman. The directors of departments are responsible for the management of departments and for enforcing public policies enacted by the commission to achieve its objective.

Issuance Department:
the Issuance department in charge of the matter of issuance and registration of securities, where it follows up the issuing companies capitals registration including studying the prospectuses, visibility studies follow up, financial statements analysis, dual listing affairs ,treasury stocks processes and preparing the statistical tables concerning the IPO’S and the registered capitals with the commission.

Disclosure Department:
the disclosure department in charge of following up with the issuing company to publish and provide the commission with its periodic reports such as the preliminary business results, the annual report, and the semi-annual report within a specific period. Also, to make sure that any issuing company, which changes its fiscal year, shall prepare the financial statements covering the transitional period, publish, and provide the commission with it. Additionally, the issuing company shall inform the commission and announce immediately of any material fact, including the changes of the securities owned or acquired by any insider in the issuing company or his relatives, any person having 5% or more of any securities of an issuing company, and any registered person practicing financial brokerage, as well as the disclosure of the mutual funds of its periodic reports and material facts.

Capital Market Institutions Monitoring Department:
The department is in charge of monitoring and inspecting the operations and performance of the Stock Exchange and the Securities Depository Center, to ensure that they are accomplishing their functions and operations in accordance with the enforced law, regulations and bylaws, and reviewing and providing recommendations on their regulations, bylaws, data, information, and decisions provided by them.

Licensing & Inspection Department
The department is in charge of licensing financial services companies and certified financial professionals affairs, inspecting their business operations, monitoring their compliance with rules and regulations of the JSC. In addition to working with parties concerned to develop the activities of financial services companies, certified financial professionals and upgrading their efficiency.

Legal Affairs & Enforcement Department
It is in charge of investigating violations of the Securities Law & related regulations, and following up with the enforcement of legal procedures against offenders, as well as providing legal consultation and studies, in addition to following up all the cases held by or against JSC.

Research & International Affairs Department
This Department shall undertake research affairs, provide all required statistics, data & information on the national capital market & the economy of Jordan and all related local and international developments. Moreover, follow up economic & financial developments locally & internationally, in addition to various legislations related to capital market issues generally & nationally in particular. The Department shall provide all the necessary recommendations and pursue JSC relations with various international organizations and institutions on all levels national, Arab & international.

It is in charge of information systems and related technical affairs, and the modernization of these systems in line with the technological developments in a manner that enables the Commission to achieve its objectives.

Is in charge of coordinating and supervising all administrative affairs that are related to the JSC mission, as well as preparing and monitoring all financial processes in conformity with the applicable laws and regulations.

Is in charge of reassuring that the work & procedures carried out by the commission's departments comply with the rules, systems, and valid instructions.

Human Resources & Development Department
The Department is in charge of organizing all technical and professional affairs related to its staff, increasing their efficiency in accordance with the legislations and instructions , and developing all other departments, performance through preparing studies and recommendations to ensure that they carryout, efficiently, their duties and tasks.

Web content Management Office:
Is in charge of managing the content & structure of the website, including the framework & navigation, creation, editing, and publishing process as well as ensuring continuous updated content in order to provide transparent and efficient information.

Information Bureau:
The Information Bureau is in charge of documenting the procedures and outputs of all the commission’s departments, and building database to provide the top management with required information for the decision making process.

Communication and Media Department:
Communication and Media Department main functions include organizing conferences, seminars, and workshops locally and internationally, as well as arranging public awareness campaigns in order to enhance the investment culture in the capital market. Also the Department arranges annual and periodic press conferences, regular meetings with the press and media and provide them with press releases and essential information. Furthermore, the Department is in charge within an affiliated special unit of receiving complaints and notes from investors and participants in the capital market.

Surveillance Department:-
The department is in charge of monitoring the daily trading transactions through monitoring the trading of all listed securities, and making sure that the trading is in accordance with the Laws and regulations of the Jordan Securities Commission.
